Saffron town Pampore gets another J&K Bank Business Unit

SRINAGAR, Jan 8: In line with the bank’s plan to deepen its footprint, J&K Bank today commissioned a state-of-the-art Business Unit (BU) at Kadlabal Pampore in Pulwama district.
Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Rajesh Kumar Chhibber inaugurated the branch premises by unveiling the ceremonial stone in presence of the bank’s Presidents Ghulam Nabi Teli and Mohammad Maqbool Lone, Zonal Head Kashmir (South I) Mohammad Shafi Salroo and Vice President Tasaduq Ahmad Dar.
Special Secretary to CMD Karanjit Singh, Lead District Managers and Cluster Heads of Pulwama and Shopian districts, officials of the district administration and the Police Department besides a good gathering of valuable customers, senior citizens, traders and local businessmen, and officers of the bank were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman and Managing Director said, “Since this area is quite famous for its world-class saffron crop, our focus shall remain on providing every kind of financial facility saffron growers require to not only grow the best saffron but to improve its entire process from the production to its sale outside J&K”.
Reiterating his focus on the bank’s strong fundamentals and bright future, the CMD asserted, “The bank remains in the pink of health and the only way for it to move is forward. That is why, in terms of banking infrastructure, which includes mostly our digital network, the bank is still in expansion mode but in case of service delivery mechanisms we have been consolidating the processes and procedures to make our services as accessible and hassle-free as these can be.”
Reposing faith in the bank’s robust compliance framework and operational infrastructure, the CMD also highlighted the importance of the support extended by the majority stakeholder- the J&K Government in the form of recently announced rehabilitation package for the disturbance hit borrowers of J&K and Ladakh.
Earlier in his welcome address, Zonal Head Mohammad Shafi Salroo expounded the bank’s role in socio-economic development of the area. He urged the people to take advantage of all the facilities available at the BU.
Chairman and Managing Director also interacted with the customers on the occasion and assured every possible support to them.
With the inauguration of the business unit, the total number of BUs of the bank has reached 951.
