RAJOURI, Feb 19: BJP’s main thrust is to safeguard national interest and the party will never compromise on security, safety and well being of people of the country.
This was stated by J&K BJP general secretary, Yudhir Sethi during his tour to border towns of Nowshera and Rajouri, where he held several meetings with people dispensing information about party’s pro-people policies and things related to development process.
Yudhvir Sethi said that BJP is the only party which has ‘will and spine’ to protect national interest unlike its opponent parties which never miss a chance to make compromise just for the sake of handful of votes.
He said that BJP’s devotion towards nation has become more evident after the decisions taken by it in the last few months especially those concerning J&K.
Acknowledging the warmth and glee of the people who accorded grandiose welcome to BJP leader at Nowshera, Suderbani, Kalakote and Rajouri, Yudhvir cautioned them about certain vested interest elements who are hell-bent to disrupt the development process set up by the BJP led dispensations in centre and the UT J&K ensuring facilities and basic rights that were due to people and were denied during last over seven decades by successive regimes.
The BJP State general secretary said though party has a challenging task in J&K as the situation in this part of country is quite different from other places but with party’s sacred philosophy of nation first, party second and self third things will soon turned out to be gleeful for one and all. Giving a message to party workers, he asked them to listen to the grievances of people and find ways and means to resolve them at the earliest. He said the people are the strength of the party and the leadership and workers should maintain a good liaison with masses.
He said that party workers have a great responsibility to act as bridge between people and the top brass. “This will help in reinforcing BJP’s credentials as a party with a difference and will surely woo those who are still in dilemma due to their affiliation towards those political outfits which are more like private limited companies and exploiting masses is top on their agenda. What is imperative for all those who are in one way or the other connected with BJP is to tell the masses that it is the only party which is driven by nothing else but national interest, which surely is its soul and spirit.
