UDHAMPUR, Feb 29: On the second consecutive day of their indefinite strike under the banner of Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sangh Udhampur, Safai Karamcharis held protest demonstration in front of the office of Municipal Committee Udhampur.
The protesting Safai Karamcharis raised slogans in support of their demands and announced to continue the strike till the Government implements the agreement that was reached out with them.
The protest was organized under the leadership of Girdhari Lal, who alleged that the Government was not considering their demands despite a written consent to provide uniform to all Safai Karamcharis within 15 days, jobs under SRO 43, implementation of 7th Pay Commissioner and clearance of arrear of 2 ½ days salary to Safai Karamcharis, providing room for sitting of Safai Karmcharis in all committees.
