JAMMU, Oct 12: Urging the Union Government to initiate dialogue with all the stakeholders for lasting peace in Jammu & Kashmir, senior leader of National Conference and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today strongly condemned the killing of Army personnel in Poonch and selective killings in Srinagar.
“It is high time to engage all the stake holders in dialogue for political solution and lasting peace. Thousands of Military/Para Military, Police personnel along with political people have sacrificed for restoration of peace. But when we see selective killings and killings of Army personal and innocents by terrorists, it looks as if due to wrong policies of the BJP Government, 1990 like situation is returning back which is sad, unfortunate and not in the national interest,” he said while addressing a meeting of Ex-servicemen wing of National Conference at Sangrampur in Marh, here today.
The senior NC leader also asked the Government to take effective steps to provide security to the life and property of the citizens.
