SABLO discusses various issues for smooth conduct of Amarnath Yatra

JAMMU, Feb 10: Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars Organisation (SABLO) which is engaged in rendering services of free food, distribution of blankets, night shelter facilities to the pilgrims on both the routes to the Holy Cave during Shri Amarnathji Yatra discussed various issues concerning smooth forthcoming Amarnathji Yatra, in a meeting of its members.
The meeting was attended by a large number of SABLO members from Punjab, J&K, Haryana, Chandigarh, HP, UP, Rajasthan and Gujarat, who in one voice resolved to take up the matter of transfer of 39.88 hectares of forest land (approved by the Cabinet in 2008) to Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board for construction of night shelters and other facilities for the pilgrims.
The members also resolved to take up the issues of allotment/sale of land to Bhandaras on subsidized rates, revocation of blacklisting orders of several langar organizations, removal of grill at holy cave for better ‘darshan’ of the Ice Lingam, giving representation to at least two members of SABLO in the committee formed by Shrine Board, change in terms and conditions for setting up langars during the yatra to avoid misuse of the same, stop practice of submission of documents every year by Langar organizations to get permission for organizing langars and availability of proper infra and basic facilities at camp sites before the arrival of Bhandara organizers with the J&K LG GC Murmu.
Other issues like storage facilities for Bhandara items in Igloo huts, proper power supply and subsidized LPg and kerosene oil to Bhandaras, separation of Bhandaras/ tentwalas/ shopkeepers at Domel and Baltal, poor mobile connectivity, shortage of public toilets and uncleanliness, decline in number of pilgrims every year and simplification of compulsory health certificate for registration of the Yatra were also discussed during the meeting.
Moreover, one of the members also offered to install free of cost High Resolution P2Z Dome Night Vision Cameras from Baltal to Holy Cave for surveillance. The meeting decided to take up the issue with Shrine Board so that permission can be obtained for the same timely.
