CHANDIGARH, Feb 7: Shri Amarnath Barfani Langers Organisation (SABLO) held a meeting here, today to discuss the various issues with the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2021.
The meeting discussed all issues related to Bhandara Organisations and Pilgrims. It said last year Shrine Board had issued a circular in the month of August 2020 to all the Bhandara Organisations informing that they should communicate with it directly and not through any other Organisation or Association and if it does so Shrine Board will not entertain any such communication and will be treated as null and void. Opposing the circular SABLO demanded its withdraw and termed it unconstitutional, illegal, arbitrary, violative and against the spirit of fundamental tight guaranteed under Article 19(1) (c).
It said there is precedence as well as established practice of more than one decade of collective submission of applications through SABLO for grant of bhandara permissions. More so, various CEOs of SASB had attended the meeting of SABLO and had distributed the permission letters to the members of SABLO in the general body meeting of SABLO.
Members unanimously decided that SASB should be asked to extend the last date of submission of application forms for grant of permission letters or rendering Bhandara services to yatris during yatra 2021 by one month i.e. from 20/02/2021 to 20/03/2021.
It was also decided that a delegation of SABLO should seek an appointment with Lt Governor of Jammu & Kashmir (UT) who is also chairman of SASB and discuss with him the issue of withdrawal of circular, demand of audited balance sheets and blacklisting orders of four Bhandara Organisations.
The meeting demanded withdrawal of condition of police verification also.
It said during the Yatra 2019, four Langar organisations were blacklisted on the flimsy grounds. This matter had already been taken up by SABLO for revoking these blacklisting orders.
Members showed their satisfaction over removing the steel grills in front of holy Shiv Lingam on the suggestion of SABLO which prevented the devotees to have full Darshan.
The meeting was attended by Vijay Thakur, President, Rajan Gupta, General Secretary, Ramlok Chaudhary, Anil Kumar, Harcharan Sherry, H.K. Chugh, Shankar Verma, Faqir Chand Verma, Vijay Mehra, Tirlok Oberoi, Neeraj Kumar Lucky, Rajeev Anand, Chander and Sunil Kumar.
