Jammu, Dec 3: En. Satya Pal Jandial, elder brother of I C Jandial, retired Chief Engineer and K B Jandial IAS (Retd) passed away at Covina, California, USA after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife Sushma Jandial and two sons, both renowned Doctors of the California- Dr. Rajnish Jandial, Specialist in Internal Medicine and Medical Director of four Hospitals and Dr. Rahul Jandial, a noted dual-trained brain surgeon and neuroscientist at City of Hope in Los Angeles, a hospital for cancer treatment, author of more than ten books on neurosciences and a guest star on Superhuman, the a popular TV show. Both of them are the alumni of Presentation convent Gandhinagar.
S P Jandial, alumni of erstwhile REC Srinagar, started his career at Govt Polytechnic College as Workshop Superintendent but he left the job and migrated with his family to California in 1979 to take up an engineering job in Garrett AiResearch- Honeywell Aerospace.
Later, he started his private business, Jandial Hospitality and run a number of hotels across USA besides real estate. He has also created a Jandial Trust to help poor and needy. After a brief illness, he passed away on Sunday night.
