JAMMU, Sept 22: The Government of India has approved the proposal for appointment of S M Sahai, an IPS of J&K cadre, as Additional Secretary, National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS).
The approval was made by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensioners, Government of India, on the proposal of the NSCS.
The appointment is on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post of Joint Secretary, held by Sahai as Additional Director General, equivalent for a period of two years or until further orders.
