Mumbai, June 6 : The rupee on Thursday was seen weak, easing 7 paise at 83.46 against USD in the opening session on rising demand for US dollars by bankers and importers.
The domestic unit dropped owing to a strong dollar against other world currencies, despite a strong opening in the stock market.
The rupee recorded intraday highs and lows at 83.42 and 83.52, respectively, the dealer added. (Agencies)
