Run-away girl, boy handed over to family members

JAMMU, June 4: GRP Jammu handed over a ran-away girl and boy to their family members and saved them from falling into bad hands.
According to SP Railways, Suram Singh, GRP Jammu men on duty at Platform No 1, Jammu Railway Station found a girl aged around 14 years in disturbed expressions.
He stated that the girl was brought to police station GRP Jammu where she was politely dealt by lady police in a homely atmosphere and her whereabouts were obtained.
“According to girl, she fled from her home on June 3 due to the reason that despite of achieving good result in class 8th, she could not get admission in a school of her choice. Due to which she was disappointed and left her home”, SP added.
Singh informed that her parents were accordingly communicated regarding the presence of said girl of Ghaziabad, UP, adding that the missing girl was handed over to her guardians after proper documentation and saved her from falling in bad hands.
Singh further stated that men of GRP Jammu deployed at Railway Station Jammu found a boy aged around 22 to 23 years roaming at Railway Station and brought to police station GRP Jammu with a view to save him from falling in bad hands.
According to the boy identified as Ghulam Mustafa Mir of Kupwara, he had a scuffle with his parents due to which he left his home, SP said, adding that the family members were contacted and the boy was handed over to them after proper documentation.
