SRINAGAR, June 22: The Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (RTTF) has decided not to observe one day strike on June 26 the call for which has been given by the Teachers Forum against the non-fulfillment of their demands by the Government.
In a statement, RTTF Chairman, Gazi Abdul Aziz alleged that June 26 strike call has been given by people who have ruined the Education Department and the status of a teacher. Gazi said that RTTF is in close contact with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah adding that the struggle with respect to their demands would be taken to the logical conclusion.
“All the Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers are advised not to come on roads on June 26 and they should carry out their routine work. We are going to meet the Chief Minister soon and highlight our demands that include regularization of education volunteers, inclusion of contractual service in the service book of ReTs and proper transfer policy to him,” said Gazi.
