KATHUA, June 3: Regional Transport Officer Kathua has suspended 14 driving licenses of habitual traffic rule violators.
As per RTO, the suspended licenses have been impounded by different enforcement agencies viz Traffic Police Jammu, Traffic Police North West Delhi, Traffic Police West Delhi, and Traffic Police Bangalore, Karnataka for violations like over speeding, red light jumping, dangerous driving and drunken driving and forwarded for appropriate action as per the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and the directions issued by the Supreme Court Committee on road safety.
One license has also been revoked as the same has been obtained by misrepresentation.
