JAMMU, Jan 1: RTO Kathua Dr Raj Kumar Thappa and his team members launched a major drive against driving in drunken condition and other offences under Motor Vehicles Act during which they challaned 182 vehicles and imposed a fine of Rs 6.61 lakh against the defaulters.
The drive was launched last night on the eve of New Year and continued today.
“We have recovered a fine of Rs 6.61 lakh from the violators of traffic rules including those, who were driving vehicles in drunken condition,” Thappa said.
He added that drive against the traffic law violators will continue.
