JAMMU, July 4: A Path Sanchalan was taken out by the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti (RSS) from Dewan Badri Nath Mandir Mubarak Mandi here this morning.
Two hundred women activists of RSS drawn from different parts of country participated in it. The Path Sanchalan after passing via Kachi Chawni, Prade, Ranvireshwar Temple, City Chowk, Super Bazar, Purani Mandi, Link road and Jain Bazaar culminated at Mubarak Mandi later.
The women cadets of RSS were welcomed by the people enroute who also showered flowers on them.
The Path Sanchalan was taken out by RSS after conclusion of its 15 -day long training camp here. In the first year, 25 women cadets of RSS took part in the camp while during second year 52 cadets participated in it.
During the camp women cadets are taught physical exercise, drill, self defence measures and Yoga. They are also given training in rifle handling etc. Besides, the cultural programmes were also organized during the camp to make them familiar about the rich cultural traditions of the nation.
