JAMMU: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh today favoured for “thought” to minority status to Hindus living in the State.
“A ‘thought’ can be given to demand for minority status to the Hindu population in Jammu and Kashmir,” Dr Manmohan Vaidya, Prachar Pramukh, RSS told mediapersons here this evening on the concluding day of three-day conclave.
RSS Chief Mohan Rao Bhagwat is also here in the town to convene the Sammelan. On the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Vaidya said, “Threadbare discussions were held on the situation and vital inputs were also received.”
“Similar happenings taking place in Bengal were also discussed in detail and a resolution was passed on dealing terrorists and terrorism with iron hands, on which the participants agreed in one voice,” the RSS leader said.
On the settlement of foreigners, including Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in Jammu, Dr Vaidya said, “It is a matter of national security and all political parties leaving aside there vested interests must jointly stand up for the concern.” (AGENCIES)
