RSS for change in procedure for GDP calculation

JAMMU, Jan 17: RSS Sangchalak Northern Region, Dr Bajranglal today said that the procedure adopted for GDP calculation in the country right from 1947 was wrong.
Addressing a seminar organized by Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) here at Jammu Club this afternoon on the topic Development in Indian Context he said that the GDP procedure adopted does not suit the Indian environment , culture and history but it suits Western countries as Indian way of life is altogether different than Western nations.
Strongly advocating that the procedure be changed, he said India had developed such technology thousands of years back about which the Western countries are talking today. It was a far developed nation than today’s concern of Western countries, he added.
He said India had world famous engineers thousands of years ago and it will take a long time to the Western nations to reach that level.
The RSS leader who is a well known economist also said Indian technique is to produce more through less input while the Western technique says that give equal input for equal produce. He said this was the main reason that India was called Vishaw Guru earlier.
Addressing the function former Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Legislative Party leader, Dr Nirmal Singh said India is on the path of development and the country is in a position at present to guide entire world in this regard.
Dr Singh said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new direction to the economy of the country towards growth and entire world is looking towards him at present. It was his charisma that Yog Divas was observed by entire world, he added.
He said there is a total changed scenario in the country after Modi took over the reigns of the Government at Centre and India is in a position to guide the entire world now.
