RSS always stood with society and nation: Kumar Mangalam Birla

NAGPUR, Jun 4 : Lauding the work of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla on Thursday said that the 100-year-old organisation has always stood with society and the nation.

Birla was the chief guest at the concluding function of the training camp of RSS volunteers in Nagpur. Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat was the keynote speaker.

In his address to the RSS volunteers, Birla said, “Amid challenges, RSS has always stood with the society and nation.”

“That to me, is the enduring strength of the Sangh, a belief that service must grow with purpose and that nation-building and character-building are lifelong commitments that we must make,” he said.

Birla also spoke about the changing global landscape.

“Even though these are challenging times, this is India’s time. The world has been caught between the competing ambitions of the superpowers,” he said.

“Artificial Intelligence is at our doorstep. This AI revolution is likely to transform economies and impact many more people than any other recent technological invention,” Birla said.

“This global flux has not had equal outcomes. The challenge for India is that this flux exists at a time when India is on the threshold of its Amrit kaal (era of nectar).

Birla said the biggest lesson history teaches us is the importance of building national capability and national resilience. (PTI)
