MENDHAR, May 5: In a special drive launched in the town by the local administration under the supervision of Tesildar Mendhar, the team seized 50 kg of polythene bags and imposed fine of Rs 5400 on shopkeepers for default.
The team on the directions of SDM Mendhar Romesh Kumar, started checking in the market today and recovered 50 kg polythene bags. Action was also taken against many fruit, vegetable, sweet and meat shop owners for keeping unwholesome items and also not displaying rate lists. A fine of Rs 5400 was imposed and recovered from them on the spot.
