RRC assures early settlement of political migrants’ problems

SRINAGAR , July 6: Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Migrants, Y P Suman who is on a visit to Kashmir Valley today interacted with political migrants here to have an on the spot study of their problems.
The political migrants’ representatives Nana Ji Wattal and Syed Parvez Hilal apprised Suman of the problems of the political migrants and also submitted a memorandum to him in this regard.
While interacting with the political migrants Suman assured them that all their pending problems will be addressed by him, which will be within his competence and rest he will take up with the higher authorities in the Government for the redressal.
The Relief Commissioner informed them that on July 12 he has convened an open darbar of migrants to take the stock of their issues and asked them that they should also participate in the darbar where the problems will be taken up one by one.
Earlier he visited the migrant camps at Vessu in Anantnag district of South Kashmir and Sheikhpora quarters in Budgam district where new quarters for the PM package employees are under construction.
Suman also met the migrant employees in both the camps and listened to their problems. He informed them that all their problems will be looked into and the construction of quarters at Vessu will be completed within one month. He said the deserving employees under PM package who are without the accommodation will be allotted these quarters on priority basis. He stressed the officers and engineers to intensify the pace of construction and also ensure the quality of work.
