JAMMU, Oct 15: A meeting of Retired Police Personnel Forum (RPPF) was held at here today under the chairmanship of district president of the Forum Om Parkash Sharma.
The meeting demanded release of DA installment due from January 1 this year and July 1 this year respectively, reservation of 15 percent quota in Government jobs for the wards of the retired police personnel, immediate financial aid to police personnel whose property has been damaged in recent rains and floods, release of arrears and installment of re-fixation of pension in respect of retired police personnel who retired before January 1,2006.
It also demanded financial aid from Police Welfare Fund be paid to the retired police personnel at the time of marriage of their wards and enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month.
