KATRA, Sept 6: A Railway Police Force (RPF) Constable was found dead in a hotel-cum guest house room under mysterious circumstances, here today.
The deceased was identified as Tara Chand (39), son of Uttam Chand of Rajbag Kathua. He was staying in room number 102 of Mangla Guest House, since last evening. As he did not come out of the room till late this morning, the Guest House employ knocked the door but did not get any response from inside.
After the Police was informed and the door was broken, the RPF Constable was found lying in an unconscious condition. He was immediately shifted to CHC Katra where the doctor declared him as brought dead.
Police has registered a case in this connection for inquest proceeding under Section 174 Crpc.
