REASI, Jan 30: Around 118 youth selected for Himayat-DDUGKY training at Rozgar Mela organized by Himayat Mission Management Unit (HMMU) J&K and 91.9 Red FM Jammu in collaboration with District Administration Reasi, SLC Educational Society Hyderabad, ATDC India, Brite Neon Signs Private Limited and Manpower Group India Limited.
District Development Commissioner, Reasi Indu Jamwal Chib and Chief Operating Officer, Himayat Kapil Sharma inaugurated the Rozgar Mela by distributing ‘Job Offer Letters’ to about 50 youth, who were selected during the initial interview by project implementing agencies in hospitality and BPO sectors.
The event was an outcome of 3 Day Rozgar Mela Campaign launched on January 28th throughout the length and breadth of district Reasi by the various stakeholders led by Himayat Mission Management Unit, JKSRLM.
More than 50 villages were covered during first 2 days of Rozgar Mela Campaign, where by the Himayat Rozgar Mela rally went deep into the rural villages, streets and towns of Reasi campaigning with announcements and Focal Group Discussions (FGDSs) entertained by REDFM RJs led by RJ Sarang and Sourabh Sethi, Group Manager RED FM.
The Rozgar Mela Campaign was meant to do the awareness throughout the district about the Himayat-DDUGKY scheme, which covers the dropout youth, who are in the age bracket of 15 to 35 years providing them placement linked trainings under central Government scheme of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY).
The campaign then culminated into a job fair at DC Office, Mini Secretariat Reasi with a day-long selection process and distribution of job offer letters to registered youth.
DDC Reasi Indu Jamwal Chib exhorted the youth of Reasi to complete the trainings and try better avenues outside Jammu and Kashmir.
COO Himayat, Kapil Sharma urged the youth selected to commit to the trainings so that the youth secure better subsequent placements and further encouraged the youth to venture outside their homes for better future.
