UDAHMPUR , Sept 21: To assess the damages caused to private and public properties in the backdrop of recent rains and flash floods in the district, the Rotary Club Udhampur and Rotary Club Sundernagar (H.P.) conducted an extensive tour of floods and landslides affected areas of Udhampur district.
As per a release they visited Saddal, Panjar, Lower Meer, Panchari etc. Members of Club distributed relief items, which included utensils, cloths, sugar, rice, Atta, paste, biscuits, maggi, candle, and blankets etc. In which 38 families were provided relief. Rotary Club members assured the people that Rotary Club will provide help in different ways and share their grief and loss. The distribution was done under the supervision of Sarpanch of different villages and Rotary Club members Umesh Kumar Gautam, Tarun Gupta, Y. R. Bakshi, D. N. Sharma, Rajendra Sanson, S. S. Kerni, V. S. Raja, Surjeet Singh, Puran Lal Sharma, Pritam Kotwal and Krishan Gopal Sharma.
In the morning Rotarians of Rotary Club Udhampur have a meeting with District Development Commissioner Udhampur Yasha Mudgal in her office Chamber regarding the distribution of relief material in different areas of the Udhampur District. Members of the Rotary Club Udhampur assured that they will extend all sort of help for the re-rehabilitation of the flood/landslide victims of Udhampur District.
