RAJOURI, Oct 27: Rotary Club Rajouri Grand in collaboration with Rotary Club Jammu organised hearing screening and speech therapy camp in Rajouri town today.
The camp was organized in the premises of Govt Middle School, Jawahar Nagar in which hundreds of persons including children, ladies and old age persons were benefited. In the camp 15 patients having profound hearing loss and team counseled them and advised for cochlear implant surgery and for BPL patients some amount will be born by Rotary Club Rajouri Grand.
In the camp, many people from different age groups and spheres got their hearing screened while some children were also screened for any hearing loss.
Dr Vidushi Badial, HoD ENT GMC Rajouri said hearing loss is commonly seen in elderly individuals and people with hearing loss find it hard to hear and understand speech at normal conversational levels. In the camp, Dr Navneet Gupta Assistant Professor, Dept of ENT Consultant Audiologist and Speech Pathologist ASCOMS & Hospital, Puneet Gupta Managing Director JK Electronic Ears Prime Speech & Hearing Clinic Hearing Aids Specialist,
Chanderbhanu Patra Audiologist and Speech Therapist JK Electronic Ears Prime Speech & Hearing Clinic also gave their services.
The camp was organised under the close supervision of President Rotary Club Rajouri Grand, Rajesh Mehta, Club secretary Dr Sachin Vaid also attended and supported by chartered president RCR Grand- Lokesh Bakshi and others.
