JAMMU, Mar 4: On World Hearing Day, a free hearing check-up camp was today organized by Rotary Club of Jammu at District Hospital, Udhampur.
In camp many people from different age groups and spheres got their hearing screened while more than 40 newly born children were also screened for any hearing loss.
Satellite branch at Udhampur of JK Electronics Ear and Prime Speech and Hearing Clinic Jammu was also part of the Camp screened the elderly people.
Project Director, Dr. Navneet Gupta, Audiologist and Speech Pathologist said hearing loss is commonly seen in elderly individuals and people with hearing loss find it hard to hear and understand speech at normal conversational levels.
S.K Sawhney and Dr. Gaurav Vaid, Club president also spoke on the occasion.
Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director Health Services Jammu; Dr. Vijay Raina, Medical Superintendent; Dr. K.C Dogra, CMO and the staff of the institute including Dr. I.P Singh, ENT specialist rendered all support in the Camp.
Prem Shankar Singh, Sat Pal Verma, Harbans Singh, Deepak Baboo, Dr. Anil Amla and others were also present in the function.
