Rotary Club organizes free Joint Replacement Consultation Camp

JAMMU, Oct 2: Free Joint Replacement Consultation Camp organized by Rotary Club of Jammu City here today helped more than 200 patients in Jammu get quality consultation from best experts in the field.
The overwhelming response from patients was a result of their faith in the good work done by Rotary Club of Jammu City in the past as well as the professional qualifications and expertise of the doctors from Shalby Hospitals, Ahmedabad.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly, was the chief guest on the occasion while Rajesh Gupta, MLA (Jammu East) was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that problems related to knee and hip joints were a common problem associated with old age. He stressed upon the need for such organizations to come to the rescue of the weaker sections of the society.
MLA Rajesh Gupta expressed faith that Rotary Club of Jammu City will keep doing yeoman’s service to the society as it has been doing in the past.
Addressing the gathering Ravinder Kaul, president, Rotary Club of Jammu City, said that on realizing that Knee and Hip problems are becoming very common these days in our society, members of Rotary  Club of Jammu City had decided to hold this camp.
Later, eminent Orthopaedi-cians Dr Bhanu Pratap Singh Saluja, Dr Dhananjay and Dr Uday Vyas from Shalby Hospitals, Ahmedabad attended the patients and gave free advice to them.
Sandeepan Beri and Rajesh Pandey from Shalby Hospitals, Rotarian SK Sawhney (secretary), Rotarian Adeep Mehta, Rotarian Sanjeev Vaid, Rotarian Sandeep Beri, Rotarian Sanjay Bansal and Rotarian Arun Ninawat made untiring efforts for making this Camp a success. Rotarian Anil Swaraj conducted the proceedings of the programme. Member students of Interact Club of Alexander School also assisted in the smooth conduct of the camp.
