JAMMU, Sept 15: Rotary Club of Jammu today organized a free eye check up camp in Gurdawara Sahib, Chatha.
The camp was organized in collaboration with Sachdeva Netralaya Gandhi Nagar Jammu under the banner of ‘Gift of Sight’.
More than 200 patients were checked up by Dr Sanjay Sachdeva, MD of Sachdeva Netralaya and his team during the camp. Out of 200 patients, more than 25 patients were screened for further phaco/ cataract surgery. Free medicines were distributed amongst the patients.
Out of 25 patients screened for cataract/phaco surgery, more than 15 patients who are BPL and recommended by the committee will be treated free of cost by Sachdeva Netrlalaya and rest of the patients will be treated at half of the actual cost.
Sunil Kumar Sawhney, president, Rotary Club of Jammu, Dr Navneet Gupta, Club secretary and other Rotarians including Prem Shankar Singh, Harbans Singh, Deepak Baboo and Dr Anil Amla were present on the occasion.
