CHENNAI : As part of expanding its offerings, ultra luxury car maker Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd will roll out a new convertible model soon in the market, a top company official said here today.
“We have announced plans to launch another convertible. We have not said what that will be. But we will very soon launch the vehicle”, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd General Manager, Asia-Pacific, Sven J Ritter told here.
“It is very exciting news. When we launch, it is going to be available across the globe.”
Ritter was here to formally unveil the Ghost Series II in South India, priced at Rs 4.50 crore onwards.
“Right now, we are here to celebrate the Ghost Series II. It is a fantastic new product.The Ghost Series was launched in India in 2009. The production for Ghost Series II began last year”, he said.
The second generation of Ghost Series is produced from Goodwood, England and imported to various markets, including India, he said.
Ritter who handles Australia, New Zealand, India, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia markets, said the company witnessed a growth of 75 per cent upwards in Australia, whereas India witnessed a “strong demand”.
“India has seen a strong demand and we see further sustainable growth for (Rolls-Royce) this year.India is a good opportunity and it is a very close focus. We will observe the market and look forward to a positive and successful year”, he said.
Ritter said India has the largest number of dealers in Asia Pacific region, totalling six to meet the demand, as compared to four in Australia. (AGENCIES)
