Sir,
A simple administrative problem of settling Rohingyas and others in Jammu has taken an ugly turn with the wrong approach, knowingly or unknowingly, by the State Government. When we feel that the entry of a person or a group of our own citizens from outside the State will add more fuel to the fire, we not only stop them at Lakhanpur Check post but also force them to go back. How these foreigners in thousands were allowed to enter the State in batches unchecked, have their colonies in Jammu and Samba, or manage their ration cards or other living facilities and in some cases arrange their State subject or the Adhar cards as well only Government knows. Was this all possible without the kind patronage of the then State Government? And even now when every day there is a hue and cry on the roads, the silence at the part of the present Government clearly shows that they too are not worried about the eviction of these illegal immigrants. Even on humanitarian basis and for the time being if it is necessary to provide them shelter till their deportation is finalized, they should have been accommodated in equal number among all the districts of this State. By doing do, none of the district administration will find any difficulty to provide temporary shelter to only four-five hundred such immigrants as also there can be easy vigil on their anti-social or anti-India activities if any. And certainly, when the people from all the districts will come on roads to get rid of these unwanted non state subject elements, it is sure that everything will be settled on priority basis. Presently there seems no justification that only District Jammu or Samba should suffer for no fault at their part.
Yours etc…
