JAMMU, Aug 10: Bus-Stand police arrested a robber and four gamblers in two different incidents.
As per police sources, Bus-Stand police arrested a person, who used to rob people of their belongings including wallet and cash by administering them biscuits laced with sedatives.
The accused has been identified as Krishan lal alias Biku, son of Nek Ram of Govind Nagar, Gole Gujral.
A case under FIR Number 37/15 under Section 328 RPC has been registered against the accused at Bus Stand police station and investigation started.
In another incident, on specific information, police team from Bus Stand arrested four gamblers along with Rs 15,000 stake money and playing cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Jagdish Kumar and Vishal, son of Ram Singh, both residents of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal, Naveen Kumar, son of Mahaveer Kumar of Kasim Nagar and Vicky Kumar, son of Balbir Kumar of Satya Colony, Rahim Nagar.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against them at Bus Stand police station and investigation started.
Police produced the gamblers in the Court of Law and all were sent for 10 days judicial custody in District Jail.
