‘Road Sweeping Vacuum Machine’ deployed by JMC for cleanliness

JAMMU, Apr 3: In order to give further boost to the cleanliness drive and fight against Covid 19, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today deployed ‘Road Sweeping Machine’ for cleanliness at National Highway from Jammu Darbar, near Channi to Sidhra.
The drive was carried out on the direction of JMC Commissioner, Avny Lavasa and in the presence of Tinna Mahajan, Secretary JMC. During the drive, JMC deployed both men and machinery for clearing of huge dumps of garbage and waste including construction and demolition waste lying on the main roads.
Apart from routine machinery, JMC also deployed ‘Mechanical Road Sweeping Vacuum Cleaning Machine’ for cleaning of main roads to remove all kinds of dirt and dust particles from the road surface and from curved grooves on the road side including parapets.
“Further intensifying the fight against Coronavirus in all the red zones viz Sunjwan, Bhatindi, Gujjar Nagar, Bhawani Nagar, Janipur as well as today morning identified location viz. Kalika Colony, Gorkha Nagar upto Bahu Fort have been fumigated and sprayed,” JMC stated.
Moreover, dedicated teams have been made for cleanliness, spraying and fumigation at all designated Quarantine centres, all Hospitals, Bus Stand alongwith the routine spraying in all the wards within the jurisdiction of the JMC.
The Commissioner appealed the general public to maintain proper sanitation and also to go unsocial so that spreading of corona virus is contained.
