LEH, Aug 6: In order to formulate the revised District Road Safety Action Plan (DRSAP)- 2019-20 for Leh district, a meeting of the members of District Road Safety Committee was held at Leh today and widely discussed various issues pertaining to road safety.
On this occasion, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Leh SS Jamwal requested to the concerned departments to submit their annual road safety plan with financial implication within three days for consolidation in devising a comprehensive and practicable road safety action plan for Leh district.
The issues such as identification and rectification of black spots and accident spots along the roads, creation and regulation of parking, dissemination of road safety awareness, checking drives and strengthening of monitoring system on the traffic on roads etc.
The District Superintending Engineer, Pawan Sharma, Dr Mohd Iqbal, DIO from Health Deptt, representatives of Education, Himank, Vijayak, XEns of R&B, I&FC Division and Executive Officer, Municipal Committee attended the meeting.
