RMSA organizes interaction session with Henry Readhead

JAMMU, Sept 6: Directorate of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan organised a dialogue-cum-interaction session of educational leaders, students and parents with Henry Readhead, Assistant Principal, Summer Hill School, UK in teachers’ auditorium Gandhi Nagar, here.
While sharing his experience about Summer Hill School, Henry briefed about success of Summer Hill School where the schools follows the basic fundamentals of freedom without license, choice to learn, equality and summer hill meetings.
Director School Education Jammu Ravinder Singh while speaking on the occasion said that interaction will definitely give a new direction to prevailing thought process of education system in the States.
He further requested State Project Director Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan for organizing summer camps at district level to provide opportunities to maximum students as use of technology has restricted students to indoors.
Director School Education Jammu directed Chief Education Officers and DIET Principal of Jammu Division to strictly implement the programs of RMSA in an error free manner.
While presenting vote of thanks, State Project Director, RMSA, Tufail Matto expressed satisfaction over the outcome and output of the programme. He insisted on holistic development of the child. For achieving this, teachers have to realize their role and responsibility and treat every child as a project to give him right direction. He impressed upon the participants to take clues from Henry’s module while planning in your institution.
The overwhelming response of the students during interaction with Henry Readhead is an indicator of improvement in the quality of schooling under Government School. The attitude of the students to speak with authority is a sign of satisfaction.
The event was attended by Joint Director Education, Jammu Charanjeet Singh, Chief Education Officers, DIET Principals of Jammu Division, field officers from States Institute of Education Jammu, students from Jammu, Samba and Reasi districts.
