JAMMU,Dec 28: Continuing with its efforts of taking the radio to the very doorsteps of the audience not only through transmissions but also through organising invited audience programmes at far off places, Radio Kashmir Jammu reached Rajouri for a day long programme.
The day started with a Gojri poetic symposium. Eminent Gojri poets who participated in the symposium included Haji Nazir Hussain Bhatti, Abdul Hamid, Atta Ullah Shad, Mohd. Bashir, Mohd. Rafiq Soz, Dr. Rafiq Anjum, Dr. M.K.Waqar, Lal Hussain, Shoket Naseem, Shabir Ahmad (Shakir), Mohd. Yasin, Mohd. Tariq, Sarwar Hussain, Riaz Ahmad Sabir, Dr. Javid Rahi,Munshi Khan Choudhary, Abdul Rashid Qadri & Mohd. Sadiq.
The themes varied from patriotism to National Integration, from counter terrorism to friendly neighbourly relations. Choudhary Qamar Hussain, newly elected MLA graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts of Radio Kashmir Jammu in arranging such an event at the door steps of its audience at Rajouri. The station Director Radio Kashmir Jammu greeted the august audience and the poets.
Gojri folk artists enthralled the jam packed hall in the second half of the day. The melodious notes of seasoned music artists filled the arena with a mesmerising aura as every head swayed to the songs and music presented by the niche artists.
The artists who performed to the listeners delight included Basher Ahmad Mastana, Shabnam Akhtar Bano & party, Noor Jahan, Ayaz Ahmad Saif, Nizam Din Chouhan, Sadaqat Ali, Imtiaz Ahmad & Party.
