Sir,
Driving on the fly over near the Tawi bridge during evening hours is nightmare. The fly over is flooded with JMC street lighting system sufficient enough to drive in dim lights or at best tail lights and not with high beam blinding lights. The problem is faced by the drivers on both sides as the high beam lights fall direct on each others’ eyes and make it difficult to navigate. In the absence of a four to five feet blind walling in order to not subject the drivers to the menace of high beam lights from the opposite side, the traffic police can enforce the regulation that switching on high beam lights on the fly over during evening hours should be avoided and violators can be challaned. In all cities with such fly overs, high beam lights are considered traffic rules violations. Jammu needs such restrictions in the interests of the motorists and the pedestrians looking to the tremendous increase in the volume of traffic.
Yours etc…….
