This has reference to editorial “Rising cases of cancer”. While highlighting the concern on the alarming rate at which the killer disease has increased in our state over last five years due to unknown reasons, and is a cause of very serious concern, the authorities are urged to deal the problem with utmost urgency.
Unfortunately, the dreadful disease has been taking heavy toll of human lives due to presently limited available resources viz. diagnostic, cure, preventive, financial, social support leaving behind the patient in lurch and their dear ones with experiences and suffering throughout life. There is need to act fast to save humanity from clutches of dreadful agony as best as we all can.
Further there are other details that people must know:
* Keep the people aware of finding of research conducted at least for symptoms & specific body organs effected in initial stage – with gender wise and age wise data available.
* Need to sensitize the people about the suggested approach to be adopted in life style, eating habits, genetic factors, drug that are carcinogenic, environmental factors or any other relevant information on the latest disclosures. Adverse effects of spurious drugs and use of domestic appliances and edible items with toxic particles need to be studied and report be made public for awareness.
*Whether consultation of experts from across the country and even from abroad has been solicited to know the specific cause of growing fatal disease in this State.
The matter requests to be considered in a holistic sense.
