JAMMU, June 10: Veteran BJP leader and three-time MLA from Reasi, Rishi Kumar Koushal passed away tonight at PGI Chandigarh.
He was 91 and was not well for past sometime.
Koushal represented Reasi as BJP MLA thrice. He led the agitation for district status to Reasi for several months. He held various prestigious positions in Jan Sangh, Janata Party and finally the BJP.
He is survived by three sons-Dr Vipan Koushal, Additional Medical Superintendent, PGI Chandigarh, Raman Koushal, Vice President Jammu and Kashmir Bank and Vivek Koushal, Finance Department, apart from two daughters.
Cremation will take place on Sunday at 4 pm at Shakti Nagar cremation ground.
