REASI, Oct 17: District Police paid rich tributes to martyr SgCt, Kamal Kishore by organising a function at Kamal Kishore Memorial, here today.
The martyr officials hailed from the Gran Morh area of Reasi and attained martyrdom while fighting with terrorists in Srinagar in 2018 before eliminating two deadly terrorists in the encounter.
Officers and officials of the District Police including Deputy Commissioner Reasi , Babila Rakwal, family members of the martyr, civil society members and respectable persons of Reasi and its adjoining areas remained present during the event and paid their tribute to the martyr.
While speaking on the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police, Amit Gupta highlighted the bravery and valour of the martyr SgCt. Kamal Kishore and he advised the youth to choose these martyrs as their role model.
He further said that more such events will be organized in the district to pay tribute to the Police martyrs. DySP Hqrs, prominent social activist Yog Raj Mengi and students of New Era School also spoke on the occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Shaheed Sgct Kamal Kishore was awarded Shaurya Chakra posthumously for his gallant action and bravery in the year 2021.
