Rich tributes paid to Gen Zorawar Singh

JAMMU, Apr 13: To remember General Zorawar Singh, J&K Freedom Fighters Association held a function at Bal Niketan, Ved Mandir Ambphalla on the birth anniversary of the General Zorawar Singh today.
The function was organized by the president of the Association, Ved Gandotra and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) was the chief guest. On the occasion floral tributes were paid to the great soul. The candles were also lit in his honour and sweets were distributed among the children.
Soujnaya Sharma, Commissioner JMC was the guest of honour on the occasion. The speakers during the function threw light on the life history of General Zorawar Singh that how he conquered and established forts at Reasi and Leh, constructed Mata Chandi temple at Machail. The members also remembered the martyrs who laid down their lives for freedom of motherland.
