SAMBA, Mar 7: In 8 JAK LI.  rich tributes were paid to martyr Amin Chand who had sacrificed his life for the protection of nation on Kashmir Border during 1965 Indo-Pak war on the occasion of his 52nd Martyrdom  Day in his native village Pakhri today.
An impressive function was organized on the occasion in which besides the family members, relatives and prominent persons of the surrounding villages paid tributes to the martyr who was serving in 8 JAK LI.
Maj. Gourav Rabat of 18 Maratha LI was the chief guest of the occasion. The War Widow Puro Devi and nephew of martyr Banarsi Dass were also present on the occasion.
Maj. Gourav Rabat performed the wreath ceremony and garlanded the statue of martyr. The other prominent persons as well as relatives of the martyr also garlanded his statue and paid tributes to him besides, the team of 18 Maratha which accompanied with Maj. Gourav Rabat.
Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj performed Satsang and prayed for the peace of the martyr’s sole. While addressing the gathering, Maj. Rabat highlighted the service rendered by martyr Amin Chand. He said that we should feel proud that Martyr Amin Chand who was one of them who had sacrificed his life for the nation. “We should also feel proud that Puro Devi the wife of martyr Amin Chand has not re- married as she has become widow in the teen age but she has adopted the nephew of martyr. “We should remember the sacrifice of martyr ever and we should maintain brotherhood which is the true obeisance to him.  “We should guide and aware the youths regarding the bravery and sacrifice of the martyr”, he added.
