JAMMU, July 16: BJP Kashmir Displaced District today turned the attention of the Government towards the various problems faced by the community.
At a press conference here, today the party leader and former MLC, Girdhari Lal Raina said UT Government has assigned the job of water, electricity and up keeping of migrant camps to Jal Shakti Department, PDD and PWD. Since the last three months nobody has taken care of migrant camps of Jammu and Srinagar with the result people are suffering, he added.
The Kashmiri migrant youths who were recruited under Prime Minister’s special package vide S.R.O No. 412 dt. 2009. Government issued S.R.O 202 of 2015 for newly recruited employees of the State shall be on probation for five years, later it was modified vide S.R.O 94 of 2020 and probation period was reduced to two years. However, PM Package employees were kept out of this probation period as per the order number O.M Number DMRPR/ MR/SEL/44/2019 dt. 9-9-20 issued by Department of Relief and Rehabilitation Civil Secretariat, that these posts are supernumerary posts not borne on the establishment of the State Government. So, S.O 192 of 2020 and S.O 194 of 2020 shall not be applicable to the posts created under Prime Minister package of Kashmiri migrants and shall be entitled for full salary for the posts they have been appointed. But Government has issued recently order number. GAD-ADM/ 234/ 2021-9-GAD dt. 6-7-21 which clearly indicates that S.O 194 of 2020 dt. 17-6-2020 shall also be applicable to all the migrant employees who are appointed after 17-06-2021.
The BJP demanded that this order be revoked immediately.
Further the party demanded that a Nodal Officer be appointed stationed at Valley who will look after all affairs pertaining to migrant employees.
The BJP demanded immediate settlement of the problem at Vessue migrant camp.
It said that the Sub-district hospital at Jagti, Jammu migrant township needs immediate upgradation. There is no operation theatre in the hospital at present which needs immediate attention of the Government.
