POONCH, Feb 15: Local administration including Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and others have started the demarcation of State land in Poonch city and marked many areas, lands structures to be cleared shortly.
Official sources said that about 75 Kanals land has been demarcated within two days by the Revenue department in the presence of Magistrates.
Tehsildar Haveli, Anjum Bashir Khatak said that they had shared an information of state land encroachment earlier on the basis of revenue record, while on the directions of senior officers this exercise has been carried out to check the spot and make the detail report of state land encroached by various people.
He said that they are marking the areas and will submit the report to Deputy Commissioner Poonch, while administration will take the objections of people on demarcation and produce their documents after compiling the report.
“Our focus is on commercial establishments and the removal of encroachments on state land as per the directions from the higher authorities following proper procedure”, he added.
