SRINAGAR, June 2: A Revenue Officer of Doda district has been suspended for willful concealment of facts and furnishing of factually incorrect information to the Assembly about the transfer of land for setting up a hospital and stadium.
Announcing this, Basharat Bukhari, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, said in the Assembly that other Revenue officials, if responsible for the lapse, will face stringent action.
The Minister said that after conducting a preliminary inquiry it was found that Patwari, Tahir Naqash, was responsible for framing the replies to the questions pertaining to revenue matters and had concealed the material facts on record.
He said that the Patwari had drafted a wrong reply to the said question and misled his superior, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), who had recently joined as the Deputy Commissioner of Doda and was unaware of facts of the case.
He said that Deputy Commissioner, Doda, has been directed to complete the probe into the factually incorrect reply within seven days related to this.
“Deputy Commissioner, Doda, has been asked to complete the probe within seven days relating to a factually incorrect reply to a question raised by Shakti Raj Parihar, MLA Doda,” Bukhari said.
He said the Deputy Commissioner, Doda, was on paternity leave at that time.
