RAJOURI, June 3: A clerk of Revenue Department posted in the office of Tehsildar Rajouri has been booked by Kalakote police for fraud while a youth was arrested in this connection today.
The clerk identified as Ghulam Mohammed, posted in Rajouri office of the Tehsildar managed a fake Dogra certificate and issued in favour of one Ashwani Singh, son of Rattan Singh, resident of Jagni in Kalakote two days back. The youth needed this certificate for recruitment in Army.
Ashwani today went to Tehsildar Kalakote for getting his documents attested. When Tehsildar saw the Dogra certificate he found it fake. He called police and then handed over the boy and certificate to Police. The boy told SHO Kalakote, Bikram Parihar that Clerk Ghulam Mohd in Rajouri office of Tehsildar has provided this certificate and he paid Rs 1000 to the clerk for this.
The police registered an FIR No. 40/2013 under Sections 420/467/468 RPC against Clerk and the youth. The police was conducting raids at different places to arrest the clerk who has gone under ground. The youth has been arrested by police.
