UDHAMPUR, Oct 4: Up in arms against unprecedented delay in their regularization, All J&K ReT Teachers Forum has announced to organize a massive protest dharna at the Directorate of School Education Jammu on October 12.
Decision in this regard was taken during a meeting of the Forum, held here today under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma and district president Lekh Raj Parihar. The meeting was attended by delegates of ReTs Forum from all the eleven Zones of the district.
While speaking on the occasion, Sharma announced that ReTs Forum will hold one day peaceful protest dharna against delay in the process of regularization of ReTs who have completed their five years service for last one and half years. On the name of so called verification, the authorities are harassing the Teachers who have been working in the far-flung areas with dedication, he said.
Mr Sharma also highlighted the grievances of regularized ReT Teachers under SSA, who are without salary for last 4 to 6 months. The Department of School Education has failed to streamline their salaries for the reasons best known to them, he lamented.
Others, who also spoke in the meeting, included Sukhdev Singh, Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami, Bhupinder Singh, Ravinder Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Viney Sharma, Surjit Singh, Bhushan Khajuria, Rekha Rani, Vandna, Nitu Kumari and Neha Sharma.
