JAMMU, Nov 25: A deputation of ReT Teachers, led by JKRETTF  provincial president,  Arvind Sharma and senior leader Zakir Butt,  called on Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh at his official residence and urged him for redressal of their grievances.
They apprised the DyCM about pending salary of ReTs under SSA for the last 8 months and demanded streamlining of the SSA salary.  They also demanded regularization of ReTs who have completed five years service, implementation of transfer order passed by High Court in favour of ReTs and release of arrears of converted ReTs.
The deputation also discussed the humiliating statement of Government regarding the screening test of all ReTs and made the DyCM clear that ReTs would give up their job rather than to sit in the test.
The Deputy Chief Minister heard the ReTs patiently and assured the deputation that the issue of SSA salary will be taken up with the HRD Minister while the transfer policy would be implemented soon. Regarding the screening test, he assured that the test will be taken of only those ReTs who have obtained degrees from extension centres.
Those who accompanied the deputation, included Panna Lal, Pankaj Gupta, Vipin Khajuria, Raju, Partap Choudhary, Subash Chander, Ravinder, Mukesh Raina and others.
