JAMMU, Feb 27: Retired Officers’ Forum here today organised a meeting under the chairmanship of I.D Soni, Forum president.
Speaking in the meeting S.C Rekhi, General Secretary of Forum said a memorandum was submitted in person to K.K Sharma, Advisor to Governor about two months back regarding problems faced by the Forum and pensioners.
Though assurances were given by the Advisor, no headway has been made so far regarding the issue.
The Forum members demanded initiation of Group Insurance Mediclaim Policy for in-service employees and pensioners, enhancement of medical allowance for pensioners to Rs 3000 per month and taking into consideration the higher costs of health treatments.
The Forum also demanded payment of arrears of the 7th Pay Commission to all the pensioners in one instalment.
Other demands included sanctioning of 3 per cent additional DA in favour of Government Employees and pensioners.
