JAMMU, Mar 12: Retired In-charge Deputy Registrars of Cooperative Department held a meeting under the chairmanship of Aslam Rashid and demanded the conduct of DPC.
Retired In-charge Deputy Registrars (RIDRs) from Jammu and Kashmir Divisions participated in the meeting.
Speaking in the meeting Aslam Rashid said that as per norms Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meetings are conducted twice a year to promote employees but in Cooperative Department same has not been done for the last 16 years.
He also said, though JKPSC has five times asked the Cooperative Department for DPC but the department has not properly responded.
“Apart from this JKPSC is invoking technicalities and is asking RIDRs to bring integrity certificates,” Rashid said adding: “How can such a certificate be obtained as the present in-charge officer authorised for issuing such a certificate does not know RIDRs because they have retired some years back.”
He said that all these activities of the department and JKPSC are victimising Retired In-charge Deputy Registrars.
Speakers in the meeting expressed satisfaction that the Chief Secretary has asked JKPSC to avoid such technicalities while conducting DPC.
“These promotions will only be symbolic as we are already retired,” speakers in the meeting said pinning hopes on the Principal Secretary Cooperatives to mitigate and address the long pending demand of the retired officers.
Mohd Sufi, Ramesh Sharma and others were also present in the meeting.
