Retired cops demand OROP

RAJOURI, Aug 10: In a meeting of Retired Police Personnel Forum chaired by Forum’s District President, Om Prakash Sharma the demand of One Rank One Pension (OROP) was raised among other demands.
The other demands raised by the retired cops included 15 per cent reservation for the wards of cops in police recruitments and financial help of Rs. 1.60 lakh to the retired cops during the marriage of their daughters.
More demands raised during the meeting included Rs. 50,000 from police welfare fund should be given to the family members of a cop during his/her death for performing last rites.
The retired cops further demanded free medical treatment to them as well as to their family members after their retirement.
They also demanded removal of pay anomaly of Head Constable and ASI in sixth pay commission.
