JAMMU, Sept 21: Retired Agriculture Officers Association in a meeting here today have appealed the Commissioner Secretary Agriculture Production Department to expedite the DPC /PCS process at an earliest so that the agony of the aggrieved lot who have met tremendous embarrassment over the years of their journey up to retirement are mitigated.
The meeting expressed the hope that with the issuance of final updated seniority list of Class VII gazetted officers up to June 10, 1988 by the Government a beginning has been made to address the long pending issue of stagnation in the Department.
It said the numerous seniority lists up to 1984 of direct recruits through PSC had been issued by the Agriculture Production Department in the last three decades yet those smacked of nepotism and were devoid of any logic.  However the seniority list issued now under G O No 277-Agri of 2015 & 278 of 2015 seems to be based on facts where in the grievances of all the sects of the officers in fray have been addressed.
The meeting said that issuance of seniority list has become possible with the personnel interest taken by Minister of Agriculture Ghulam Ahmed Lone Hanjura and Commissioner Secretary of the Department, Mohamed Ashraf Bukhari as they took a principled stand on the issue.
